Chittagong-- (UNB)-The security personnel of the Port have foiled an attempt of pilferage of goods from the unloading ship at the jetty today.

The gangsters adopted a unique way of pilferage. They made a hole in the jetty to reach the ship at water level and brought out 115 rolls of cloth, worth Tk 10 crore, imported for making garments. They also deployed an engine boat to get away with the cloth.

Sensing the pilferage, security personnel at jetty No.12 challenged the gangsters, who managed to flee by firing gunshots in the air.
